Here’s the Bingo Card That Will Get You Through Midterm Election Day

vote

The day is finally here: by sometime later on tonight (depending on the length of some lines and the efforts of our hard-working election staff), the 2018 midterm elections will finally be over, and you know what that means! No more listening to pundits theorize about what the results will say about Republicans and Donald Trump.

OK, it also means that we’ll have elected some brand new government officials to hopefully make our country a better place, but we all kind of just want to get it over with at this point. So, we’ve created a helpful way for you to pass the time: 2018 midterm election Bingo cards.

Every election is different, but the exhaustive, day-long news coverage is likely to feel very familiar and particularly useless, since no one will actually know anything until much later on tonight. So why not make a game out of it? On our card, you’ll find not only things that we expect to happen out in the real world, but things we can almost guarantee that news anchors will breathlessly go on about in an effort to fill air time and keep audiences watching until we all actually know what happened.

But TV isn’t the only place to look—it’s not even a place many of our readers are especially likely to be watching, so feel free to count news and social media posts that you see floating by on the internet, as well. (Warning: You may win several Bingos this way. Extra cards are recommended.) In fact, some things may be online-exclusive. Here’s what we came up with:

Because there’s no point to the game if everyone’s card is the same, you can get your own randomized version of our card by clicking this link. On that very same page, you can also make your own additions or changes if you’ve got some election coverage staples that you personally find especially amusing/grating. Enjoy!
